Snow Day!

I couldn't stay away....lol.  I had to post some pictures of this (hopefully) last winter storm.  The snowflakes are amazing, they are as big as I have ever seen them and I'm so happy I don't have to drive in this weather.  I was born and raised in this part of the world but I will never get used to icy, snowy, slippery roads.  I hope if it's snowing where you are you're safely home, but if not .. safe travels.

 

 

A Little Binding

I thought I would drop in to say that if you don't hear from me for a couple of days it's because I will be busy binding six quilts.  We're expecting a snow storm tomorrow so I'm happily going to be inside working on these quilts.

Just Peachy

I hope you all had a nice weekend.  Saturday I finished up a couple of projects including this one.

Cute As A Button

I think every quilter loves a new pincushion!   I have to say that my sewing room has lots of them, but I still can’t always find a pin when I need one, so I had to

design two more.

 

Introducing … Cute As A Button!  This pincushion comes in two sizes: a small 6" square and a larger 8" square.  Both are 2 1/2" high.  I can't wait to start using the larger one on my cutting table. It’s perfect to hold a lot of pins!

 

The covered buttons are easy to make.  Most fabric shops carry small kits to make covered buttons, but I share a simple technique in the pattern for making fabric-covered buttons without a kit.

Almost Ready

 With Blushing about to arrive in quilt shops I'm busy finishing up my new patterns that will be out before the end of the month.  It's been crazy fun in my studio and I'm almost ready to introduce you to my nine ... yes, nine! ... new designs with Blushing!
