Flower Girl

A very small sample of Flower Girl, my newest fabric collection that I designed with Henry Glass, is in my sewing room this morning and it’s the perfect way to start off my week!

Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t been around my blog for a while …  Life sometimes takes unexpected turns and changes things a little but I’m really happy to be back and ready to design lots of new patterns and fabric!

Flower Girl will be in quilt shops sometime in March 2014 and I’m working on a whole new collection of patterns to share with you very soon.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Strawberry Show and Tell

This beautiful quilt belongs to Pamkittymorning.  I love the background fabric she used and the strawberries look so good. It's fun seeing my Strawberry Social pattern done in Pam's fabric, and I'm just thrilled that she liked my pattern.  I'm a big fan of everything she does so having her like and make one of my patterns is so exciting.

She also made this beautiful pillow - what a clever idea!  I think I might have to make one myself.
Perfectly Sweet!

If you haven't been to Pam's blog before here is the link.

If you are making Strawberry Social I would love to see some pictures and I will post them here on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Flower Girl

Introducing  my newest fabric collection ... Flower Girl!
Flower Girl will be in quilt shops in early Spring 2014. I know it's a ways off but it will be so exciting when it gets here!

I designed a free pattern that will accompany Flower Girl, and as soon as it's posted on the Henry Glass website I will update my blog.

Butterkissed Free Pattern

I haven't finished the quilting on my Butterkissed quilt yet but I didn't want to wait to post the pattern directions.  As soon as it's quilted I will update my blog with some photos.

Click on the pattern cover to download the pattern.

If you don't have a Jelly Roll, this block looks super cute scrappy!

Hope you like it and have lots of fun making Butterkissed!

Butterkissed

I'm finishing up my new Summer pattern called "Butterkissed" and since it's almost ready I thought I would share a few photos of this little butterfly quilt.  I used a Moda Jelly Roll and added extra fabrics from my Butterfields collection to jazz it up. I'm quiting it today - back later in the week with more pictures.

Butterkissed will be a free pattern on my blog this month.  I hope you will join me and make one for yourself.  Here are the ingredients to get you started and I will be back with the instructions.

Ingredients
One Moda Jelly Roll
(I used Sunkissed by Sweetwater)

1 1/4 yards for the background

1 1/2 yards for the border
or 3/4 yards for a pieced border

1/2 yard for the binding

Happy Summer!

Baubles

Baubles is the last of my newest collection of patterns.
This little quilt finishes 60" square.  I designed Baubles with a fabric line by Bonnie and Camille called Ruby.  This is my favorite kind of quilt - it looks like it might be difficult to make, but it's all just simple piecing!

All my new designs are available on my website so please stop by.

Beach House

Introducing Beach House!  I'm loving the cool summer colors in this quilt - it just feels like a quilt you might find at a beach house.  This new pattern was created with a Layer Cake of Avalon by Fig Tree Quilts.  Beach House finishes 60" by 72".

Beach House is available in the New Pattern section of my website.

If you are looking for the fabric requirements, I will be posting information on my website in the next couple of days.

I hope you like it and thanks for visiting!

Pottery

Introducing "Pottery", another one of my new designs that I'm super excited to show you.

Click on the pictures below to view them larger.

When I saw Bonnie and Camille's fabric line Happy-Go-Lucky that they designed with Moda it reminded me of these beautiful hand-painted pots that you see in garden shops at this time of year.
Pottery was created using a Moda Layer Cake.  It's a simple, fun pattern that I think is perfect for summer.
