I know, I promised no more bird pictures but I've received several emails asking if I have any more so I thought I would share these with you. Here are the last "owl in the snow" pictures that Peter took on our property.
This owl is just spectacular! We are definitely going to frame these pictures.
Truly amazing!

ReplyDeleteWow -- what incredible shots!!! Thank you very much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted more. These are great, but I still like the original one the best where he's staring right at you from the tree. He's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful! There is something so awe inspiring about owls! (I would frame them too!)

ReplyDeleteWow! He is stunning! A fellow blogger alerted me to your link as I am quilting an owl at the moment. The Blackland Prarie Raptor Rehabilitation Center (Texas) is just down the street from me. I went in January and took some photos of their education birds and decided that they would make excellent quilts. If you would like to see my owl, you can view it at http://theridufour.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI hope that your friend had good hunting and you get to see him again!

Gosh I was sure I had already left a post of this magnificent 'WHO"...Sew here I am again...as lovely as your creations that are made from a spirit nonetheless, of one that can be seen and not touched...mmmmm

I can't believe you get to see an owl so close. What a wonder. My husband built for me an owl birdhouse at my eastern Washington home (it is VERY big) and raised it 20' into a tree. No action yet but I'm hoping.
ReplyDeleteI clicked on a link to your blog to get a better look at a quilt (Lovely Layers) and what a nice surprise to see your owl photos. Coincidentally, an owl visited our back yard today and hubby snapped some pictures. They are posted on my blog now. Your photos of the owl are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love owls, sometimes I can hear them hooting to each other in the middle of the night.
